The all-state selection as a Louisiana prep began his college career at Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C., where he played two seasons. Played in 11 games in 2008, making 54 tackles with seven interceptions and collected 33 tackles with one interception in nine games during the ’09 campaign. Started 8-of-11 contests in which he played at free safety for Ole Miss in ’10, making 68 tackles, four pass breakups and zero interceptions to go with four tackles for loss and one forced fumble. Did not play against Auburn (knee).
