Notes:

Four-year varsity starter as a Georgia prep. Redshirted in 2007. Played eight games in ’08 and rushed 42 times for 259 yards (6.2-yard average) and a touchdown with two receptions for eight yards (4.0) and zero touchdowns. Also returned 19 kickoffs for 581 yards (30.6) and seven punts for 22 yards (3.1). Missed the final three games of the season because of a strained right meniscus. Led the Sun Belt in rushing in ’11 when he started all 12 games and toted 369-1,695-13 (4.6) with 36-361-4 (10.0) receiving. Also completed two passes for 48 yards (24.0) and a touchdown. Fumbled 14 times in 975 touches and gained 5.1 yards per carry. Finished his career as WKU’s all-time leading rusher. Will turn 25 during his rookie season.

Positives:

Well put together for his size with sturdy legs. Outstanding two-year production — was a one-man offense in a pro-style system for the Hilltoppers. Good balance and functional vision. Runs hard. Tough and durable. Puts the time in off the field to improve. Solid personal and football character.

Negatives:

Short with small hands. Average initial quickness, speed and lateral agility. Chops his steps to cut. Short strider repeatedly tracked down from behind. Not a pile mover or tackle breaker. Soft blocker. Inconsistent receiver (shaky hands). Might require extra mental reps to grasp NFL concepts. Does not project as an impact return man. Was ridden hard at WKU — nearly 1,000 career touches. Fumbled 14 times in his career. Limited versatility and upside.

Summary:

A small-framed, highly productive, monotone back who is not exceptionally quick or strong for his size. Will gain what is blocked for him, but is not a creative runner, nor is he dangerous in space to command a roster spot.
