Was considered a four-star recruit coming out as a Florida prep before attending Fort Union (Va.) Military Academy in 2007 in order to qualify academically. Appeared in 11 games as a true freshman in ’08, seeing action at both cornerback and safety while recording 18 tackles, four pass breakups and zero interceptions with one forced fumble. With the exception of two plays, he missed the last three games of the season with a hamstring injury. Played in 10 games, making nine starts at cornerback, and posted 38-3-0 with two tackles for loss and two forced fumbles in ’09. Missed three contests with hamstring problems. Had six punt returns for 17 yards (2.8-yard average). Moved to free safety for the ’10 campaign and started 10-of-14 contests while recording 58-2-0 with four tackles for loss, one sack and one forced fumble. Missed most of fall camp with an arch injury in his foot.
