The San Francisco 49ers have placed Tukuafu on the season-ending injured reserve list with a wrist injury.||||||| He becomes the first 49er since the regular season began to go on IR.

With Kentwan Balmer still absent from training camp, the San Francisco 49ers signed Tukuafu to a two-year contract on Thursday.||||||| Tukuafu, out of Oregon, was originally signed by the Seattle Seahawks before they released him June 22.
