Needing some healthy bodies on the offensive line, the Eagles acquired OG Reggie Wells from Arizona for an undisclosed draft choice. Philly also placed DE Victor Abiamiri on the PUP list and cut 10 players.

According to NFC Whispers, Pat Shurmur says the Rams may bring along rookie QB Sam Bradford gradually, as the Eagles did with Donovan McNabb 11 years ago.

Eagles defensive end Victor Abiamiri could miss the season after tearing his Achilles' tendon during a training camp practice at Lehigh University, the team announced Thursday. Abiamiri got hurt at practice on Tuesday.||||||| Abiamiri, an honorable mention All America at Notre Dame, was taken in the second round of the 2007 draft, but injuries limited him to just 29 games in his first four seasons. He has four regular-season sacks in four years, plus one in the 2008 NFC championship game. Abiamiri missed all of last season with a knee injury that required offseason microfracture surgery.

Abiamiri missed Sunday's game against Dallas with a sprained foot.||||||| "Looks like it's a mild Lisfranc sprain," Eagles coach Andy Reid said. "It'll be a race for Vic to get there." Abiamiri has been making steady progress since missing most of training camp and the first five games with a broken wrist. He has totaled 11 tackles in 10 games this season.

Abiamiri was back at practice Thursday for the first time since having surgery to repair a broken right wrist.||||||| Abiamiri had the pins removed from his arm earlier in the week. It's still unclear when the second-year defensive end will return to game action.

Abiamiri agreed to a four-year contract with the Eagles on Sunday.||||||| Abiamiri, a second-round draft pick, 57th overall, led Notre Dame in sacks (10 1/2) and tackles for a loss (15) last season. In 49 career games, the 6-foot-4, 267-pounder had 128 tackles, 40 tackles for a loss, 20 1/2 sacks, 21 hurries and three forced fumbles.
