Carey is moving to guard after spending the past six seasons as a starter at tackle.|||||||
Carey lined up at his new position during practice Wednesday, and coach Tony Sparano says he's there to stay. The change makes newcomer Marc Colombo the favorite to start at right tackle. Pro Bowl left tackle Jake Long is back, although he has yet to practice because of left knee and shoulder injuries. The likely interior line starters are Carey and veteran Richie Incognito at guard and top draft pick Mike Pouncey at center.

Carey's streak of 87 consecutive starts ended Sunday because of a knee injury, and Tuesday's roster move means he'll miss the final three games as well. Lydon Murtha replaced Carey is expected to start this week against Buffalo.
