Palko is inactive for the Chiefs after starting the past four games for the injured Matt Cassel. Kyle Orton starts for Kansas City with Ricky Stanzi also available.||||||| While Palko held very little fantasy value to begin with, he's certainly not worth owning at this point.

Struggling quarterback Tyler Palko is starting for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Chicago Bears on Sunday instead of newcomer Kyle Orton.||||||| The Chiefs were forced to turn to Palko after Matt Cassel suffered a season-ending injury to his throwing hand, and the results so far haven't been good. Palko threw three interceptions in each of his first two starts and committed seven turnovers in all during that stretch. Kansas City claimed Orton, the former Bear, on Nov. 23 after Denver waived him. Chicago and Dallas also put in claims, but the Chiefs got him because they have a worse record.

Palko had his second straight three-interception game in Sunday's 13-9 loss to the Steelers, and could lose the starting job to Kyle Orton this Sunday at Chicago.||||||| The journeyman quarterback, who was once cut by a UFL team, wound up fumbling a snap and throwing two interceptions in a span of three offensive plays. His third interception happened in the closing seconds as Kansas City tried to march downfield for a go-ahead touchdown.

Palko is expected to start Monday night at New England for the Chiefs.||||||| The journeyman backup was 5 of 6 for 47 yards in Kansas City's final offensive series against Denver. Starting quarterback Matt Cassel could miss the remainder of the season after sustaining what coach Todd Haley is calling a "significant" injury to his throwing hand.
