Richardson has been sued by two women who say they were assaulted at his home last year. A lawyer for Krystal Jones of Maple Heights and Kathleen Hunter of Cleveland says the lawsuit was filed Friday in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. A Browns spokesman declined to comment. Richardson's agent didn't immediately comment.|||||||
The complaint, obtained by the Plain Dealer of Cleveland, says the women were invited to Richardson's Columbia Station house in December but soon asked to leave. It says Richardson then cursed the women for "slamming a door" and "disrespecting his house." The lawsuit says Richardson banged on Jones' vehicle, causing damage. It says Richardson then urged his girlfriend and two other women, also named in the lawsuit, to attack the plaintiffs.

Richardson, who sat out Sunday's season finale in Pittsburgh with a sprained ankle, said Monday that he played nine games with the broken ribs. The Browns listed Richardson as having a rib cartilage injury throughout the season on their injury report. Richardson wore a protective jacket and finished with 950 yards, breaking many of Hall of Famer Jim Brown's team rookie rushing records.
