Porter's return to the field lasted only three plays as he left with a concussion in the first quarter Sunday against Cleveland.||||||| Porter was banged up in a collision with Josh Gordon after the Browns receiver caught a pass for a short gain. Porter's mouthpiece appeared to go flying through the air after the hit and he stayed down for a brief moment, before walking toward the bench. He talked to the trainers and then headed into the locker room.

Porter missed practice Friday and was still waiting to hear if doctors would clear him to play Sunday against his former team, the New Orleans Saints, after he experienced symptoms similar to those he felt before having a seizure earlier this year.||||||| In the locker room Friday, Porter said he visited doctors Thursday and they told him "everything looked normal," but they want to make sure he's 100 percent healthy before allowing him to play.

Porter missed practice Thursday amid growing concern about an unspecified illness that apparently has left him dealing with vertigo.||||||| Porter wasn't allowed to fly to San Diego for the Broncos' last game on Oct. 15 but he returned after the bye week and participated in practices Monday and Wednesday on a limited basis. He missed Thursday's workout and coach John Fox said he was day to day.

Porter has been taken by stretcher to an ambulance after breaking up a pass on the second play from scrimmage of New Orleans' game against Tampa Bay on Sunday.||||||| Porter was communicating with teammates and gave a thumbs-up as he was carted from the field. Porter lay face down and motionless for several seconds after making a hard, low hit on receiver Mike Williams, who also appeared to hurt his left leg on the play. There was no immediate word from Saints officials on Porter's condition.
