The New York Giants have placed offensive tackle Stacy Andrews on injured reserve with blood clots in both lungs and signed Tony Ugoh to fill the roster spot.||||||| Ugoh has played in 37 NFL games with 27 starts for the Indianapolis Colts (2007-09). He was also with the Detroit Lions in 2010, though he did not see any action. Ugoh played for the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League this fall.

The Colts have released offensive lineman Tony Ugoh on Wednesday.||||||| The move cuts ties with a player Indianapolis once considered its left tackle of the future. Ugoh was placed on the waived-injured list with an undisclosed foot injury. Ugoh, a second-round pick in 2007, started as a rookie after Tarik Glenn unexpectedly retired. But last season, Ugoh was demoted from starter to backup and never won the job back from Charlie Johnson.

Ugoh isn't expected to play against Jacksonville on Sunday because of a groin injury he sustained last Sunday.||||||| Ugoh was helped off the field at the end of the first half of the Colts' 18-15 win at Minnesota on Sunday, leaving the already banged-up Indianapolis offensive line in even worse shape. The Colts, though, are expected to get Pro Bowl center Jeff Saturday back this week.

Ugoh sat out Sunday's game against Kansas City with a neck injury.||||||| Ugoh has missed the last two games with a neck injury, but had returned to practice this week. The rookie started at left tackle as Peyton Manning's blind-side protector - a position left even more thin with the ankle injury suffered by backup Charlie Johnson last Sunday against San Diego.
