The Seattle Seahawks signed Malone on Tuesday.|||||||
Malone played four seasons at USC, sharing the school's punting average record (44.1). He signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2006. After being released, he spent time on the New England Patriots practice squad.
The Patriots released Malone on Wednesday.|||||||
Malone's departure leaves the punting job to Danny Baugher, who spent much of last season on the Patriots practice squad. Malone was signed to the practice squad Dec. 20. Veteran punter Josh Miller was released last week.
