Texans sign first-round CB Jackson
Houston has signed its first-round draft choice, CB Kareem Jackson, to a five-year contract, PFW's Texans correspondent, John McClain, is reporting on his Twitter account. Details of the deal weren't immediately available.
Reports: Texans agree with rookie RB Tate
The Texans and RB Ben Tate, a second-round pick from Auburn, have agreed on a contract, ESPN and The Houston Chronicle reported Thursday. ESPN reported the contract is for four years.

While fantasy owners surely weren't expecting much from Yates, the fifth-round pick out of North Carolina delivered in a big way - helping the Texans clinch their best playoff berth in franchise history. Yates seems to have developed a good rapport with tight end Owen Daniels, finding him seven times for 100 yards. Yates could be in for another big day in Week 15 against a Carolina defense struggling against the pass.
