He was helped off the field while putting almost no weight on the leg, then carted to the locker room from the sideline. His return was questionable. Hightower had run for 88 yards. Ryan Torain figures to get more carries.

Hightower ran for 96 yards on 20 carries in an 18-16 loss at Dallas on Monday. He added five receptions for 39 yards and one score.||||||| Hightower should have a better effort next week against the winless Rams, who have lost all three games by double digits and can't be confident at the moment.

Hightower helped Washington post a 22-21 win over Arizona on Sunday.||||||| Hightower, traded by the Cardinals shortly after the end of the NFL lockout, ran for 96 yards on 20 carries and started a scuffle that netted a 15-yard roughness penalty against his old team. He also had a 10-yard reception.
