Knighton donned a helmet at practice Thursday for the first time in organized team activities and went through some individual drills. Although his progress did nothing to alter his planned return - the team wants to limit his work until training camp in July - it provided Knighton an emotional boost. Knighton injured his left eye while trying to break up a bar fight in April.
Speaking publicly for the first time since a bar fight last month, Knighton opened with an apology.|||||||
Knighton apologized to the city of Jacksonville and the organization for "embarrassing them with the actions that happened that night."
