The 6-1, 240-pound Ganaway was a sixth-round pick of the Jets and was released on Friday. His senior season at Baylor, Ganaway rushed for 1,547 yards with 21 touchdowns.
The New York Jets have signed running back Terrance Ganaway, one of their sixth-round draft picks, to a four-year contract.|||||||
Ganaway, expected to back up Shonn Greene and Joe McKnight in the Jets' backfield, was taken with the 202nd overall pick - one spot before New York also took his former Baylor teammate, offensive lineman Robert T. Griffin. Ganaway set Baylor's single-season school records with 1,547 yards rushing and 21 touchdowns rushing last year as a senior. He could see time with the Jets as a short-yardage and goal-line back.
