The Jacksonville Jaguars have re-signed guard Steve Vallos and waived running back Keith Toston.|||||||
Vallos signed with the Jaguars on Oct. 30 and was released Saturday. He has played in 42 games with eight starts. A seventh-round draft pick by Seattle in 2007, Vallos spent three seasons there and then two in Cleveland (2010-11). He signed with Philadelphia during training camp and played in two games before getting released.
Vallos will be making his second career start in Sunday's game against New England.|||||||
Vallos - the converted guard - will be starting at center, because Chris Spencer went on injured reserve this week. Vallos' first start came last week when quarterback Matt Hasselbeck was sacked a season-high seven times in a 34-9 loss at Dallas, Seattle's fifth consecutive defeat.
