Moss was placed on injured reserve with a groin injury.||||||| Moss, who has been with the Giants since 2006, had surgery Tuesday to repair a sports hernia. Moss played in one of the Giants' first three preseason games and had one catch. He played in eight games in 2009 and 37 in his first five seasons. He has 39 career receptions for 421 yards and three touchdowns.

Moss is going to be sidelined until at least Thursday. He sprained an ankle last week and didn't play in the 13-12 win over Baltimore on Sunday.||||||| The Giants will likely rely on Moss considerably this season with with Amani Toomer lost for the year.

Moss could see action Monday at Jacksonville for the first time since Sept. 17, according to Newsday. Moss has been out due to a quadriceps muscle.||||||| The Giants appear to be pushing to get Moss back with Amani Toomer lost for the year. Expect him to see action when New York uses three receivers, if he is healthy.

Moss will not play for the Giants on Sunday against the Chicago Bears due to a lingering quadriceps injury, according to New York Newsday. The wide receiver is practicing with the team.||||||| Moss suffered the injury in training camp and reinjured it on Sept. 17 at Philadelphia. The Giants lost No. 2 wide receiver Amani Toomer for the rest of the season with a torn ACL in his knee. Moss, a second-round selection out of Miami in April's NFL draft, has one catch for four yards in one game this season.
