The Tennessee Titans have agreed to a deal with running back Shonn Greene. The Titans made the announcement Wednesday but did not release terms of the deal. The Tennessean and other outlets say it's for three-years, $10 million.||||||| Greene, who spent his first four seasons with the New York Jets, has rushed for 3,423 yards and 18 touchdowns on 822 carries. The 5-foot-11, 226-pound Green also has 65 catches for 482 yards, and he scored eight touchdowns in 2012. He is coming off the best year of his career with 276 rushes for 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns rushing.

Greene ran 20 times for 77 yards and a touchdown on Sunday against Jacksonville.||||||| Greene's score was his first since Oct. 21. With Mark Sanchez continuing to struggle, the Jets seem to be placing a higher emphasis on the running game, with Greene getting 48 carries in the last two games.

Greene had 104 yards on 24 carries in the New York Jets' 7-6 win over Arizona on Sunday.||||||| Greene's 104 yards were his most since a career-high 161 against Indianapolis on Oct. 14. With the team ynsettled on a starting quarterback unsettled, the Jets might have to rely on Greene even more.

Greene says he was "shocked" by a published report in which he was quoted as suggesting the team might need to make a change at quarterback. Michael Silver, who wrote the story for Yahoo!, wrote on Twitter that he stands by his column "100 pct" and quoted Greene accurately.||||||| Greene says Thursday the story included quotes that were "completely out of context." He adds that he never said anything about replacing Mark Sanchez with Tim Tebow as the quarterback. The story quoted Greene as saying: "You feel bad for Mark, but at the same time you want to win games. ... If you want to win games, you've got to try something." Greene says he texted Sanchez when he heard about the story, and the two are fine.
