The Panthers placed Martin on injured reserve after he injured the ACL and MCL in his right knee in Carolina's 27-21 loss to the Kansas City on Sunday. He becomes the 12th Carolina player to be placed on injured reserve this season.|||||||
Martin, a four-year veteran, was a two-year starter for the Panthers before losing his starting job to free agent pickup Haruki Nakamura in training camp. Martin played in 12 games in a reserve role and finished the season with 23 tackles and one forced fumble.
