The Buffalo Bills have placed Chandler on injured reserve a day after he hurt his left knee in a loss to Miami.|||||||
Chandler was hurt on the Bills third play from scrimmage after he fell awkwardly while making a 25-yard catch. He was walking on crutches following the game, and coach Chan Gailey said the injury "doesn't look good."
Chandler has agreed in principal to a two-year contract to re-sign with the Buffalo Bills less than a week before he was eligible to become a free agent, the player's agent has told The Associated Press. Rick E. Smith confirmed in an e-mail that his client had agreed to the deal Thursday morning. Chandler announced the news himself by posting it on his Twitter account.|||||||
Chandler had 38 catches for 389 yards and tied a single-season franchise record with six touchdowns last season. He becomes the second key offensive player retained by the Bills before free agency opens next week. Buffalo re-signed leading receiver Stevie Johnson on Monday.
