Arizona's John Skelton will be back at starting quarterback when the Cardinals play the Seahawks Sunday in Seattle. Coach Ken Whisenhunt says his decision to replace Lindley was based on several factors, including the environment the Cardinals will face in Seattle, where the crowd is among the loudest in the NFL and the conditions are likely to be cold and wet.||||||| Skelton says he is taking nothing for granted and just wants to complete more passes than he did when he was benched in favor of Lindley three games ago. Lindley says he understands the decision. Whisenhunt refused to replace Lindley with Skelton despite the Cardinals' woeful offensive performance in a 7-6 road loss to the New York Jets last Sunday. Arizona has lost eight in a row.

Arizona coach Ken Whisenhunt won't commit to naming a starting quarterback for next Sunday's game at Seattle.||||||| Lindley made his second NFL start in Sunday's 7-6 loss to the New York Jets, completing 10 of 31 passes for just 72 yards, 23 of them on the second play of the game. Arizona had just five first downs and was 0 for 15 on third-down conversions. Despite Lindley's struggles, Whisenhunt resisted substituting John Skelton, saying he thought sticking with Lindley gave the team the best chance to win.

Lindley had 312 yards in his first career start but also threw four interceptions, including two returned for touchdowns by St. Louis rookie Janoris Jenkins, in a 31-17 loss.||||||| Consistency from the quarterback has been a problem for the Cardinals all season. John Skelton opened the season as the starter and sprained his right ankle in the first game. Kevin Kolb took over the next five games before he suffered a chest injury against Buffalo on Oct. 14. Skelton was the guy the next four games before being replaced by Lindley after struggling against Atlanta last week. Combined, they've thrown 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
