Harris was put on injured reserve Wednesday with an injury to his right big toe.|||||||
Harris dislocated his right big toe on Nov. 1 at Baltimore and missed four games. He aggravated the injury in the first quarter Sunday at Kansas City in his first action since getting hurt and medical tests this week revealed bone and ligament damage. Tyler Polumbus will replace Harris in the starting lineup as he did during the month he was sidelined.
Harris is questionable for Sunday's game against Dallas with a shoulder injury.|||||||

The procedure was meant to alleviate pain caused by pinched nerves along Harris' spinal cord. Harris, a rookie out of Notre Dame, underwent back surgery to repair a herniated disc in July 2006 and started the Fighting Irish's season opener five weeks later. The third-round pick is expected to spend his rookie year learning from veteran left tackle Matt Lepsis.

Harris, an offensive tackle, was the 70th overall pick in April. A four-year starter at Notre Dame, the 6-foot-5, 292-pound Harris started his final 37 games at left tackle after switching over from right tackle, a position he played as a freshman.
