Fitzpatrick met with Titans coach Mike Munchak and general manager Ruston Webster who needed a backup quarterback after being unable to renegotiate Matt Hasselbeck's contract.||||||| Fitzpatrick threw for 3,800 yards with 24 touchdowns and 16 interceptions last year and had been the Bills' primary starter since 2010. He said going back to being a backup will be a challenge after four years as a starter in Buffalo. He has a family with four children and had roots in Buffalo along with a six-year, $59 million deal he signed in October 2011.

Fitzpatrick is out in Buffalo, the first major move as NFL free agency began Tuesday.||||||| The Bills' starting quarterback was cut 1 1/2 years after getting a six-year, $59 million contract extension. Fitzpatrick struggled after signing the new deal, and the Bills went 6-10 in 2011 and in 2012. Buffalo has not made the playoffs since 1999, the longest active streak in the NFL. For now, the Bills' No. 1 quarterback is Tarvaris Jackson.

Buffalo Bills general manager Buddy Nix hasn't ruled out the possibility of re-signing guard Andy Levitre, or determined whether to keep Fitzpatrick.||||||| Fitzpatrick's future remains in question. He's coming off his second inconsistent season as starter. He's also due to earn a $3 million bonus this month as part of a six-year, $59 million contract extension he signed in October 2011.

Fitzpatrick threw just 17 passes but completed nine, two of which went for TDs in Sunday's win over Jacksonville.||||||| This was only Fitzpatrick's third multi-touchdown game in the last eight.

Fitzpatrick bounced back from two subpar games to throw for 225 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's loss to the Titans.||||||| Fitzpatrick completed 27 of 35 attempts and did throw one interception. In his two previous outings, Fitzpatrick threw for a total of 279 yards and no touchdowns.
