The Chiefs put center Rodney Hudson on injured reserve Wednesday with a broken bone in his left leg and signed offensive linemen Russ Hochstein and Bryan Mattison to provide additional depth.||||||| Hochstein has started 36 of the 137 games he's played over 10 seasons with Tampa Bay, New England and Denver.

The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms with two veterans who played for them last season: Hochstein and wide receiver Brandon Lloyd.||||||| Hochstein is a 10th-year pro who played in 15 games, starting 10 of them, in his first season with the Broncos last year after being acquired from New England in a trade Aug. 25.

The Denver Broncos will be without Hochstein for the season finale after he suffered a knee injury at Philadelphia.||||||| Hochstein, the team's starting left guard, apparently injured his knee on a play in the second half. He will be placed on injured reserve.

The New England Patriots have traded Hochstein to the Denver Broncos for an undisclosed draft choice.||||||| Hochstein, a fifth-round draft pick by Tampa Bay in 2001, began with New England on the practice squad in 2002 and played in 91 games in the past seven seasons. He sometimes lined up at tight end and blocking back as well as center and guard.
