McClain has signed a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens.|||||||
The 6-foot-4, 259-pound McClain spent three years with Oakland after being selected eighth overall in the 2010 NFL draft. In 41 career games, he has 274 tackles, 6 1/2 sacks and one interception. He has a chance to take over for Ray Lewis, who retired after 17 seasons.
The Oakland Raiders have waived McClain less than three years after drafting him eighth overall.|||||||
McClain is the third player drafted in the top 10 by late owner Al Davis to be let go so far this offseason by second-year general manager Reggie McKenzie. Defensive back Michael Huff (seventh pick in 2006) and receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey (seventh pick in `09) were cut last month.
McClain is inactive for the Oakland Raiders in his first game back from a two-game suspension.|||||||
