The Redskins said Monday that McIntosh had signed his $1.759 million tender. The team could have reduced the offer if the restricted free agent had not signed it by Tuesday. McIntosh is unhappy that the lack of new collective bargaining agreement kept him from becoming an unrestricted free agent this offseason. He was hoping to get a multiyear deal, but the Redskins offered him only the one-year tender.
McIntosh, who tore two knee ligaments last week against the Giants, was placed on injured reserve.|||||||
McIntosh became the 10th Redskins player this season to be placed on injured reserve. He has played in 14 games this season, starting 13, and made 68 tackles.
