Sherman won his appeal of a four-game suspension for use of performance enhancing substances on Thursday, making him eligible for the NFL playoffs.|||||||
Sherman posted "I won," on his Twitter account Thursday morning, followed by teammates tweeting their congratulations. Sherman added, "Thank you (at)nfl for upholding the truth! To the 12s Thank you your faith is rewarded! Thank you lord."
Sherman was expected to practice Wednesday, but the Seahawks aren't going blindly into the regular-season finale against St. Louis with the firm belief they will have their star cornerback available.|||||||
Seattle coach Pete Carroll said they would rotate a few guys in along with Sherman during practice in case it comes down later in the week that Sherman's suspension for using performance enhancing substances is upheld. Sherman appealed the suspension last Friday.

Carroll said after practice Friday that he expects Sherman to play against the 49ers. Sherman was reportedly absent, appealing his four-game suspension after testing positive for performance enhancing substances. Carroll says of Sherman, "I anticipate we'll have him. I know of nothing else."
Sherman is at the center of what could be a massive distraction for the Seattle Seahawks as they try to hold the last playoff spot in the NFC. Yet the talkative cornerback said Wednesday that this week is the same as always, despite news leaking out of failed drug tests by Sherman and fellow starting cornerback Brandon Browner.|||||||
Sherman spoke for the first time since news first broke saying he and Browner failed tests for performance-enhancing drugs and face possible four-game suspensions. The Seahawks expect the pair to play this week at Chicago as they appeal.
Sherman says he has no regrets over the strong comments and messages from his Twitter account following the Seattle Seahawks' victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday. Sherman had an interception in the second half against the Patriots, and the Seahawks rallied for 14 points down in the final 7:31 to pull out the victory. According to STATS LLC, Sherman is tied for the NFL lead in passes defensed with 10.|||||||
The Seahawks cornerback said Tuesday that he was directed to remove a picture from his Twitter account that showed Sherman talking to Patriots quarterback Tom Brady after Seattle's 24-23 win that included an added message"U Mad Bro?" But when asked if he regretted any of the attention that has come his way, Sherman said, "I don't regret anything about the situation. It is what it is."
