The San Diego Chargers have placed Wells on season-ending injured reserve.||||||| Wells had ankle and toe injuries. Wells spent time on the Chargers' roster early in the season and then returned on Dec. 5. He started the past two games at right tackle.

The Chargers have re-signed Wells.||||||| Wells spent time with the Chargers earlier this season, but did not appear in any games. The Chargers (4-8), who play at Pittsburgh on Sunday, need depth on the offensive line due to injuries.

The Buffalo Bills have signed Reggie Wells to address an injury-depleted offensive line. In making the move Tuesday, the Bills placed offensive lineman Colin Brown on injured reserve after the backup hurt his hamstring in a 45-3 loss at San Francisco on Sunday.||||||| The Bills (2-3) play at Arizona this weekend, and are already expected to be missing two starting linemen. Left tackle Cordy Glenn and guard Kraig Urbik are both recovering from right ankle injuries. Backup guard Chad Rinehart's status is also uncertain because of a calf injury. Wells is a 10-year NFL veteran, who appeared in five games last season with Carolina. He spent his first seven seasons with Arizona and one with Philadelphia. He has 91 starts in 117 games.

The Cardinals have traded Wells to the Philadelphia Eagles for an undisclosed draft pick.||||||| Wells had started the last 90 games for Arizona, dating to the 2003 season, as well as the team's six postseason games, but was moved from left guard to right guard this year following the signing of free agent Alan Faneca. The trade came after a strong preseason showing by Deuce Lutui, the starter at right guard the past two seasons who signed his tender offer with Arizona late in the summer after a contract dispute.
