The Bengals placed Kelly on injured reserve on Wednesday, ending his season. He had surgery Wednesday to repair a ruptured Achilles' tendon in his left leg.|||||||
Cincinnati's starting tight end got hurt during a non-contact drill on Monday and was taken for an exam. Kelly finished third on the team in receiving last season with 31 catches for 207 yards. The injury opens the way for Ben Utecht to take a larger role. The 11-year veteran is expected to be fully healed by the start of next season.
