Maui'a, 6-foot and 265 pounds, played in three games last season for the Cardinals after appearing in 15 games and making four starts in 2010. The former Hawaii player from American Samoa has four carries for five yards and five catches for 37 yards in 36 career games in three seasons with Miami and Arizona.
Maui'a signed a one-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday. Financial terms of the agreement, announced Wednesday, were not disclosed.|||||||
Maui'a started two games last season for the Cincinnati Bengals and was inactive for three others after being claimed on waivers from the Miami Dolphins on Sept. 3. He was a sixth-round draft pick of the Dolphins in 2007 out of Hawaii. Maui'a appeared in all 16 games as a rookie with Miami in 2007. he started nine games and had four carries for five yards.

Mauia was a sixth-round pick out of Hawaii last season and started nine games in 2007. He finished with 10 yards from scrimmage on six touches. The Dolphins decided to keep just one fullback in Boomer Grigsby, who signed as a free agent in March and has shown better receiving skills out of the backfield.
