Wheeler has signed a $26 million, five-year contract with the Miami Dolphins. The deal includes a $7 million signing bonus and $13 million guaranteed.||||||| Wheeler spent his first four NFL seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and played last year for the Oakland Raiders, where he had career highs of 109 tackles and three sacks.

Wheeler underwent knee surgery last week and is expected to miss a couple of weeks.||||||| "Philip's doing fine, he's off the crutches and starting the rehab process," Colts coach Tony Dungy said of his rookie linebacker. "We're thinking he'll be back maybe Buffalo week or if not then Cincinnati week." The Colts are scheduled to play the Bills on Aug. 24 - the first NFL game at the new Lucas Oil Stadium.
