The Denver Broncos' second-year cornerback participated in the team's first practice of training camp Thursday.||||||| Coming off the field afterward, Cox told The Associated Press: "I just want to apologize for everything that's been going on. I'm truly grateful that football has started back up." He acknowledged his legal troubles still weigh heavily on him. If convicted, Cox faces between two years to life in prison. An arrest warrant affidavit released Friday says the woman became pregnant and that DNA tests show Cox is the father.||||||| The document says the woman told police that doctors informed her she had become pregnant at about the time she went to Cox's apartment with friends and then passed out. The woman says she has no recollection of most of that night last September and wasn't sure anyone had sex with her until she learned she was pregnant. Cox pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual assault. He is free on $50,000 bail. His trial is scheduled for October.

An arrest affidavit detailing the sexual assault allegations against Broncos cornerback Perrish Cox will be released July 1 with the name of the accuser, medical information and the name of a friend redacted to protect their privacy.||||||| District Court Judge Paul King on Wednesday sided with The Associated Press and The Denver Post, who argued for the document's unsealing. King ruled that neither prosecutors nor Cox defense attorney Harvey Steinberg presented sufficient evidence that the affidavit's release would jeopardize Cox's right to a fair trial. Cox is charged with two counts of sexual assault. Court documents say the alleged assault happened on Sept. 6.
