The move was made to make room for defensive tackle Landon Cohen, a seventh-round draft pick in 2008 who started four games last season and had 23 tackles and one forced fumble.
McQuistan (knee) has been placed on injured reserve.|||||||
McQuistan's injury hurts the depth of Oakland's interior offensive line. He was a backup at both guard spots.
The rookie will start at left guard for Oakland against Cincinnati on Sunday. The third-round pick out of Weber State started the first two games of the season at right guard before being benched.|||||||
McQuistan has spent most of the last 10 games playing on special teams for the Raiders. With Barry Sims and Corey Hulsey both hurt, McQuistan will return to the starting lineup.
