The move was made to make room for defensive tackle Landon Cohen, a seventh-round draft pick in 2008 who started four games last season and had 23 tackles and one forced fumble.
McQuistan (knee) has been placed on injured reserve.|||||||
McQuistan's injury hurts the depth of Oakland's interior offensive line. He was a backup at both guard spots.
The rookie will start at left guard for Oakland against Cincinnati on Sunday. The third-round pick out of Weber State started the first two games of the season at right guard before being benched.|||||||
