The team announced the deal Monday.||||||| The veteran long snapper holds the franchise record for games played (230) and seasons (15). He is the only player from the 1998 draft still with the team that picked him.

He was a sixth-round draft pick out of Duke by Chicago in 1998. McMichael, a defensive tackle, was a member of the Bears' 1985 Super Bowl champions.
