Crayton had a season-best 117 yards on six receptions in the Chargers' 20-17 loss to the Rams on Sunday.||||||| This was a solid game for Crayton, who had totaled six catches for 94 yards the first five games. With Philip Rivers seemingly trying to lead the Chargers from behind each week, Crayton could enjoy more productive games in the future.

The Cowboys have traded Crayton to San Diego.||||||| The Cowboys gave Crayton permission to seek a trade after they took Dez Bryant in the first round of April's NFL draft. He missed most of the voluntary offseason workouts and indicated he wanted to be released from a contract that runs through next season. Dallas has depth at receiver with starters Miles Austin and Roy Williams. Bryant is expected to fill the No. 3 spot even though he missed most of training camp with a sprained ankle.
