The Arizona Cardinals have re-signed offensive tackle Pat McQuistan and released cornerback Crezdon Butler.|||||||
The move gives the Cardinals another option on their struggling offensive line, which has given up 22 sacks in the past three games.The Cardinals had released McQuistan Sept. 25 after he was inactive the first three games of the season. The 6-foot-6, 317-pound lineman is in his seventh NFL season with stints in New Orleans, Miami and Dallas.
The Arizona Cardinals have signed offensive tackle Pat McQuistan, claimed outside linebacker Jamaal Westerman and placed offensive tackle Jeremy Bridges on season-ending injured reserve. The Cardinals already were short on tackles with the loss of Levi Brown for the season with a torn right triceps. The thumb injury to Bridges, sustained in last Thursday night's preseason finale against Denver, made the need even more pressing.|||||||
McQuistan was released by the Dallas Cowboys on Friday as part of the team's final roster cuts. The six-year NFL veteran played in 10 regular-season games and both postseason contests for New Orleans last season.

The signing Monday reunited McQuistan with the team that drafted him in the seventh round in 2006. He played 40 games over three seasons for the Cowboys, including all 16 in 2007 and 2008. McQuistan started eight of 16 games for the Dolphins in 2010, and played 10 games for New Orleans last year.
The Cowboys have traded McQuistan to Miami for future considerations.|||||||
