The Rams released Mughelli on Friday.||||||| Mughelli made the Pro Bowl in 2010 for Atlanta but was released in May to clear salary cap space and was coming off a knee injury in Week 7 last year. He signed a one-year contract with St. Louis last month.

The Atlanta Falcons released Mughelli in a move that also frees salary cap space.||||||| Mughelli, 31, was due to earn a base salary of $3 million in 2012. His 2011 season ended when he hurt his right knee in Week 7 at Detroit and was placed on injured reserve. Mughelli's 32nd birthday is June 10, nine days before the team's first minicamp for veterans.

Mughelli scored the game's first TD in a 55-41 victory over the turnover-prone AFC in the Pro Bowl.||||||| Mughelli scored on a one-yard run and had another carry for two yards. His real value, of course, comes as a blocker, and that's the reason he was signed to a six-year, $18 million contract, even though it's one that fantasy owners don't understand because of his non-existential fantasy value.
