The Detroit Lions have put Fairley on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.||||||| The 2011 first-round pick started seven of 13 games, had 5 1/2 sacks and 35 tackles after a lackluster rookie year. Earlier this year, he pleaded guilty to DUI and reckless driving and was sentenced to a six-month suspended jail term, a year of probation and a $600 fine. Harrell says Fairley passed a drug test Tuesday, is tested several times a week by the NFL and has passed them all.

He also faces a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge Nov. 27 in his hometown of Mobile. Fairley was a 2011 first-round pick after helping lead Auburn to a BCS title.
