Coach Steve Spagnuolo said Monday that Diggs would have surgery, probably this week, and that the anticipated recovery time is five months. The 32-year-old Diggs had five tackles in Sunday's 19-6 victory at Arizona including one for a loss.

The veteran linebacker has made 127 career starts for Green Bay and Carolina, where he spent the past four seasons. The 31-year-old linebacker started 11 games for the Panthers last season, and led the Packers in tackles from 2002-04.
