A person familiar with the status of Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey says medical tests show no damage to the rookie's neck, and he might be able to return to practice this week. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Monday because the Dolphins hadn't commented on the test results.|||||||
Pouncey left Sunday's game against the New York Giants in the second half with a neck injury after taking a blow to the head. He said that he briefly couldn't feel his legs, but that he felt fine after the game. With the signing Saturday, all of the Dolphins' draft picks are under contract. His twin brother, Maurkice, made the Pro Bowl as a rookie center for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season.

The Dolphins hope to slide the 6-foot-4, 310-pound Pouncey into the starting lineup as a rookie. They took the former Florida Gator with the 15th overall selection. "I know I'm coming in with big expectations because of all the success my brother has had," Mike said Thursday. "I feel like we're the same player. I've got some big shoes to fill, but I think I can fill those shoes."
