The team announced the move Thursday.||||||| Pollak played in 58 games, including 41 starts, for the Indianapolis Colts and can help fill the void after left guard Travelle Wharton was released earlier this offseason in a salary cap move. Pollak, a four-year veteran, provided protection that allowed Peyton Manning to lead the league in yards passing in 2010 and rank second in 2009. The Colts allowed the fewest sacks in the league both seasons.

Pollak did not travel with the team to San Diego on Friday and will not play Saturday against the Chargers in the playoffs.||||||| Pollak, a starting guard, has not practiced all week because of an ankle injury he sustained in last week's 23-0 victory over Tennessee. Coach Tony Dungy has said that if Pollak cannot play, Dan Federkeil would start in his place. Federkeil started the first three games this season at right guard when Pollak was out with a knee injury.

On the eve of training camp, the Colts agreed to terms with five draft picks including their top choice, Pollak, in a dash to get all nine draft choices into camp on time.||||||| Pollak agreed to his deal with Indianapolis late Wednesday afternoon but had not yet signed the contract and terms were not disclosed. Pollak's agent, Ken Zuckerman, confirmed the deal in a text message to The Associated Press but was not immediately available for comment after boarding a plane. Pollak, a second-round pick and No. 59 overall, is expected to compete for the starting guard spot that was vacated when Jake Scott signed with Tennessee in free agency.
