The former first-round pick has seen limited playing time as the third cornerback behind Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne. He figures to be on the field more with nickel cornerback Orlando Scandrick injured. Jenkins missed training camp and the season opener after offseason shoulder surgery, and complained about not getting a new contract. He's in the final year of his rookie deal.

Jenkins passed his physical last week and was eligible to return to practice Saturday. But he missed that day because of migraine headaches. The former Pro Bowler missed all offseason work and training camp because of reconstructive shoulder surgery after last season.
Jenkins still hasn't been cleared to practice with his surgically repaired right shoulder.|||||||
Coach Jason Garrett said Tuesday that Jenkins will continue his rehab and then see Dr. James Andrews for another checkup in "a couple more weeks." Jenkins was in Florida on Monday to follow-up with Andrews, who performed the surgery soon after last season.
Cornerback Mike Jenkins is back at Valley Ranch with the rest of his Dallas Cowboys teammates. After skipping voluntary workouts this offseason, Jenkins rejoined the team Tuesday for the start of a mandatory veteran minicamp. The three-day session is the last for the Cowboys until reporting to training camp in California in late July.|||||||
Jenkins had previously remained home in Florida while rehabilitating from shoulder surgery. Even though he was at the minicamp, he was unable to do much because of the injury. Jenkins is going into the final year of his contract after the Cowboys added two prominent cornerbacks this offseason - free agent Brandon Carr and LSU All-American cornerback Morris Claiborne with the sixth overall draft pick.
Jenkins has returned to practice after leaving practice Wednesday with a knee injury.|||||||
