Roos had surgery Monday morning to remove his appendix, and coach Mike Munchak says they will have to wait and see how quickly the tackle recovers before knowing if Roos will be available Sunday against Indianapolis.||||||| Roos was sore before a 35-34 win at Buffalo, and Munchak said the tackle was checked with no symptoms. Roos started his 119th consecutive game and made the return flight home with no apparent problems.

Roos told the Tennessee Titans he wanted to wrap up contract negotiations before the 2008 season started. Team officials obliged their left tackle, agreeing to a six-year, $43 million extension.||||||| The team confirmed the deal Saturday that makes Roos the third-highest paid left tackle in the NFL behind Orlando Pace and Walter Jones. His contract was set to expire after the 2008 season. The deal, originally reported in The Tennessean, includes $15 million in guaranteed money, including a $4 million roster bonus. The 6-foot-7, 315-pound Roos, who has started 48 consecutive games, could earn up to $1.5 million more from Pro Bowl berths.

Roos signed a four-year deal with the Titans in late July, a pact that could be worth nearly $2 million to the offensive tackle out of Eastern Washington. The 6-foot-7, 315-pounder gave up a signing bonus in order to shave a year off the end of the deal so that he would hit the free-agent market a year earlier. Roos was Tennessee's second-round draft pick this past April.||||||| Roos is expected to be in the mix for the starting duties at right tackle for the Titans in 2005. His primary competition in camp will come from Todd Williams, Jacob Bell and fellow rookie David Stewart.
