The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms on a multi-year deal with safety Michael Griffin after designating the five-year veteran as their franchise player back in March. The Titans announced the deal Tuesday shortly after the end of their first session of three-day minicamp.|||||||
A two-time Pro Bowl safety, Griffin did not balk at being tagged, with $6.2 million in guaranteed money if he played the season under that contract. He was a first-round draft pick in 2007 and has 17 interceptions, fourth among safeties over the last five years and tops among safeties in his class. Griffin has played in all 80 games with 73 starts since being drafted 19th overall. He ranked third with 96 tackles last season with Pro Bowl selections in 2008 and 2010.

It's Griffin's second Pro Bowl selection. He also represented the AFC in 2008 after intercepting seven passes that season.
Griffin was limited in Friday's practice, but is listed as probable for the season finale Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.|||||||
