Ryan says he is not focusing on contract talks as he appears destined to become the NFL's next $100 million quarterback. General manager Thomas Dimitroff says the Falcons hope to finalize a new deal with Ryan before the season.||||||| Drew Brees, Tony Romo and Joe Flacco have recently signed five- or six-year deals worth at least $100 million. As the most recent Super Bowl winner, Flacco became the game's highest-paid player with his $120.6 million deal.

Ryan sprained his left shoulder in the closing minutes of the NFC championship game and won't be able to play in Sunday's Pro Bowl.||||||| Coach Mike Smith says Ryan will need three to four weeks to recover from the injury, which was described as a sprained AC joint to the non-throwing shoulder. No surgery is required.

Ryan passed for 396 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's NFC title game loss to the 49ers.||||||| Ryan also lost a fumbled snap and threw an interception as the Falcons were shut out in the second half.

Ryan matched a career high with four touchdown passes in Saturday's 31-18 win at Detroit.||||||| Ryan was 25 of 32 for 279 yards without a turnover. His 31 TD passes are a career high and he could be the league MVP. The Falcons have nothing to play for next week against the Bucs so monitor the situation closely.

Ryan completed 23 of 28 passes (82.1 percent) for 270 yards and three touchdowns in Atlanta's win against the Giants on Sunday.||||||| Ryan's 142.6 passer rating on Sunday was the second highest of his career.
