Lynch, who had been listed as probable with a foot injury, is starting in Sunday's divisional playoff game against Atlanta.|||||||
Cornerback Byron Maxwell (hamstring) is not playing. Rookie defensive end Bruce Irvin is making his first career start for Seattle. Irvin is replacing sacks leader Chris Clemons, who was injured his left knee in last Sunday's playoff win over Washington. Defensive end Patrick Chukwurah, signed by the Seahawks on Wednesday, is active.
Lynch has a sprained foot but is probable and expected to play Sunday against Atlanta. He rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown in last week's wild-card round win over Washington. He did not participate in practice Wednesday and Thursday.|||||||
Asked what it would take for Lynch not to play, coach Pete Carroll cracked, "Miss the flight? Doesn't show up in Atlanta?"
Lynch helped the Seattle Seahawks to a 24-14 victory over the Redskins on Sunday.|||||||
Lynch ran 20 times for 132 yards and one score two years after his amazing 131-yard effort against New Orleans in a wild-card game. Next week's tilt with Atlanta should be fun.
