Clayton had reconstructive knee surgery last October and has struggled with Achilles tendinitis since being activated off the PUP list, playing sparingly in two games. He had three catches for 26 yards last week against Seattle.

The St. Louis Rams got a lift for their struggling offense, activating Clayton from the PUP list.||||||| Clayton could see action on Sunday at Cleveland. His comeback from a knee injury has been hampered by an Achilles tendon injury but he's felt better the last week or so and on Wednesday said he was probably about 90 percent. Clayton was rookie Sam Bradford's top receiving threat early last season before injuring his left knee. He caught 22 passes for 300 yards and two touchdowns over the first four games.

The St. Louis Rams re-signed Clayton, the wide receiver who needed an extra month to recover from knee surgery. The team announced the move Wednesday night on its Twitter feed after arriving in Jacksonville, Fla., for its preseason finale Thursday night against the Jaguars.||||||| Clayton caught 22 passes for 300 yards and two touchdowns the first four games last season. Clayton, the leading receiver for the St. Louis Rams, is done for the year. Coach Steve Spagnuolo said Monday that Clayton will have season-ending surgery on his right knee to repair a torn patellar tendon. Clayton was hurt early in Sunday's 44-6 loss at Detroit.||||||| Clayton was on his way to a good fantasy season, but now his fantasy owners will have to find a replacement.
