The Buffalo Bills continued to target improving their pass rush in free agency by signing Anderson.||||||| Listed at 6-foot-4 and 255 pounds, Anderson has 35-1/2 sacks in six seasons, including 10 last year with the New England Patriots. Selected in the fifth-round of the 2006 draft by Chicago, Anderson spent four-plus seasons with the Bears before finishing the 2010 season playing with Williams in Houston.

The Houston Texans signed Anderson on Wednesday and waived defensive end Ryan Denney.||||||| Anderson was cut by Chicago on Tuesday. The 6-foot-4, 255-pound lineman had 12 sacks as a rookie in 2006, helping the Bears reach the Super Bowl. He had only nine sacks over the next three seasons and has none this year. Houston has been looking for a defensive end to complement All-Pro Mario Williams, who has five of the team's nine sacks this season.

The Chicago Bears have terminated the contract of Anderson, who four years ago made a rookie club-record 12 sacks.||||||| Anderson, a fifth-round pick in 2006, was a pass-rushing sensation in his first season but never developed into the player the Bears expected after that fast beginning.

He had 12 sacks that year, the most by a Bears rookie and the most by a Chicago player since Richard Dent's 13.5 in 1993, while helping Chicago reach the Super Bowl.
