Listed at 6-foot-4 and 255 pounds, Anderson has 35-1/2 sacks in six seasons, including 10 last year with the New England Patriots. Selected in the fifth-round of the 2006 draft by Chicago, Anderson spent four-plus seasons with the Bears before finishing the 2010 season playing with Williams in Houston.

Anderson was cut by Chicago on Tuesday. The 6-foot-4, 255-pound lineman had 12 sacks as a rookie in 2006, helping the Bears reach the Super Bowl. He had only nine sacks over the next three seasons and has none this year. Houston has been looking for a defensive end to complement All-Pro Mario Williams, who has five of the team's nine sacks this season.
